Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) Assessments

The world’s most popular personality tool accelerates self-awareness and skills development through the lens of type.

Myers-Briggs (MBTI®) Assessments

What is MBTI?

The MBTI assessment is the world’s most popular and widely used personality-type tool, helping millions around the globe gain deeper insight into themselves and how they relate to others.

Rather than labeling personality traits as “good” or “bad,” MBTI focuses on preferences. Specifically, it explores how we prefer to:

  • direct and receive energy — Extraversion (E) or Introversion (I)

  • take in information — Sensing (S) or Intuition (N)

  • make decisions — Thinking (T) or Feeling (F)

  • approach the external world — Judging (J) or Perceiving (P)

These four pairs combine into one of 16 distinct MBTI personality types, giving a richly textured understanding of how someone naturally tends to think, decide, and act.

Why MBTI Matters — What MBTI Offers

By working with the MBTI framework, individuals, teams,
and organizations can unlock powerful benefits:

  • Deep Self-Awareness & Personal Growth — MBTI offers a structured way to understand what makes you “you.” That insight can guide personal development, decision-making, career planning, and stress management.

  • Clearer Communication & Better Relationships — When you know your own preferences and begin to understand others’, you gain a shared “language” to explain why people behave differently, helping reduce misunderstandings and build empathy.

  • Improved Team Dynamics & Collaboration — MBTI helps teams appreciate the diversity of thinking and working styles. Teams can align on how they communicate, make decisions, and collaborate — maximizing each person’s strengths while respecting differences.

  • Enhanced Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness — Organizations and leaders who use MBTI often see better team cohesion, improved conflict resolution, and more effective interpersonal interactions.

  • Personalized Development & Soft-Skills Growth — MBTI is more than insight — it provides a foundation for developing soft skills (communication, decision-making, conflict management, collaboration) tailored to each person’s personality type.

  • Backed By Decades of Research  —  Extensively reviewed by scientists and researchers over decades, the MBTI assessment is supported by a robust body of evidence that demonstrates its reliability, validity, and enduring relevance.

MBTI Assessment Types

1. MBTI® Step I (Core Assessment)

The foundational MBTI tool that identifies personality type based on the four preference pairs:

  • Extraversion (E) – Introversion (I)

  • Sensing (S) – Intuition (N)

  • Thinking (T) – Feeling (F)

  • Judging (J) – Perceiving (P)

Used for:

  • Personal development

  • Communication

  • Leadership growth

  • Team building

2. MBTI® Step II (Advanced Assessment)

A deeper version of MBTI that goes beyond the 4-letter type and examines 20 sub-facets (facet scales) across each preference. This provides more nuance and personalization for coaching, team dynamics, and leadership development.

Used for:

  • Executive coaching

  • Deep leadership development

  • Complex team dynamics

  • Change management

  • Conflict and relationship work
